Many people believe email marketing is dead. Others believe social media is the only way to go.
But with algorithms preventing all our followers from seeing our posts, email marketing can be our saving grace.
And the stats say it all: (Stats are in dollars, but you get the idea!)
- Email marketing generates $38 for every $1 spent, giving an ROI of 3,800%. Which makes email one of the most effective marketing options available.
- 73% prefer communications from businesses to come via email.
- 59% say marketing emails influence their purchase decisions.
Email marketing certainly isn’t dead. In fact, it can be one of the most lucrative forms of marketing for any business.
Because here’s the thing, your email list is your business’s biggest asset. With an email list, that data is yours. You have full permission to enter your subscriber’s inbox, build a relationship with them and shout about your offers.
And when done the right way, can keep you fully booked with pet loving clients all year round. With an engaged email list, one email can mean you fill those spots for dog walking, dog training or pet sitting at the click of your fingers.
Social media is great and all. But your followers aren’t ‘yours’. If that platform were to close down tomorrow, you’d lose access to your online community that you’ve painstakingly grown. Poof, they’d be gone!
I’m not saying that’s going to happen, but it could. Remember MySpace?
Having an email list gives you security, knowing you always have access to hundreds, if not thousands of pet parents that want to hear from you.
And let me tell you something… now that I’m in my 7th year of business, I wish I’d prioritised building my email list from the start.
My audience would now be much bigger, and selling my services would have been so much easier. It may have taken a couple of days to set everything up, but it would have brought new potential customers into my orbit every week, and without me having to do anything ongoing.
You see, when you have a strategy to grow your email list on automatic, it can take some of the stress out of your marketing. Suddenly you’re not relying so heavily on frantically posting to social media anymore. You can relax a little knowing that when you have spots to fill, you can fire out an email and you’ll get a few bites.
That’s the beauty of having an engaged email list. Where your subscribers look forward to receiving your emails every week.
Because as business owners we’re time poor. And when we put marketing systems in place that run on automatic, it means we free up our time to do the things we enjoy. We don’t have to be glued to our computer screens stuck in the 20th century doing everything manually.
There is a much better way! And it doesn’t have to make you feel like a sleazeball. This is all about marketing with heart and soul in a way that feels good.
But many pet professionals still shy away from email because it’s too confusing, too techy, too salesy, or they think it’s too time consuming.
But it’s not any of those things when you know what you’re doing.
Introducing the Email Marketing Academy
It’s why I’m launching the Email Marketing Academy to take you through the process step by step. I’ll remove that confusion and overwhelm, so you can boost your audience numbers without fuss.
This is a go-at-your-own-pace mini course, and I’ll be sharing how to set up a simple email funnel within an email marketing system.
Inside the workshop you’ll learn:
- How to create a no brainer lead magnet pet parents will love.
- How to create easy forms to capture sign ups on your website.
- How to automate your email so you’re not constantly sending your lead magnet every time someone signs up.
- How to create an email nurture sequence so you engage and nurture your subscribers.
- AND what you should say in each email to bring those casual sales on automatic.
All without the tech overwhelm or sleazy sales tactics. So no more guesswork trying to figure all this stuff out yourself, I’ll literally be handing you the process, step by step inside the course.
